JESSIE C. BRUCE

JACKSON - Jessie C. Bruce, 71, of Jackson, died Friday, May 29, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Sikeston, to John and Priscilla Irwin Bruce.

On April 21, 1948, Bruce married Annadell Kelly in Osceola, Ark. She survives, along with three sons, Jim Bruce of the state of Arkansas, Jessie Bruce, Jr. and Steve Bruce, both of Jackson; five daughters, Jackie Geary of Jefferson City, Pat Fields of the state of Indiana, and Pat Rosanna, Dorothy Schroeder and Lisa McCall, all of Jackson.

Other survivors include two brothers, Noah Bruce of Rio, Ill., and Irwin Bruce of Jackson, along with 23 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, three brothers and one sister.

Bruce was a Navy veteran and served in World War Two.

Friends may call at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
