CECIL W. JEFFRIES

SIKESTON -- Cecil W. "Pete" Jeffries, 87, of Sikeston, died Monday, June 1, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born April 9, 1905, at Crowder, son of Erasmus A. and Laura Sherry Jeffries.

Jeffries had worked as a cotton ginner and farmer with E.P. Coleman Farms in Sikeston.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, including Janet Hency and Murdean Warbington of Poplar Bluff, with whom he had resided.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jerry Salisbury will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 tonight.
