MOUNDS, Ill. -- Versa L. VonNida Bridewell, 81, of Route 1, Mounds died Wednesday, June 3, 1992, at the Wind Mill Nursing Home in South Holland.

She was born Jan. 5, 1911, at Villa Ridge, the daughter of George Oliver and Blanche Mae Atherton VonNida.

She was a retired lab secretary with the Inlles Memorial Hospital in Harvey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmond G. Bridewell Jr., July 23, 1987. She also was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Survivors include a son, Edmond Bridwell of Mounds; a daughter, Marilyn Lake of Dalton; three brothers, Gordon VonNida of Mounds, Edwin VonNida of Granite City, and Billy VonNida of Jefferson Barracks, Mo; a sister, Edna Mae King of Anna,; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, where funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Kenneth C. Mixen will officiate, and burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
