GLEN ALLEN -- Ivan C. Hamel, 90, of Sunrise Beach, died Wednesday, June 3, 1992, at Laurie Nursing Home in Laurie.

He was born Sept. 2, 1901, in Coffeyville, Kan., son of Ivan Christopher and Sarah B. Coleman Hamel. He and Leona Sieland were married June 6, 1925.

Hamel was a retired handsetter at a shoe manufacturing company. He was a member of Laurie United Methodist Church, and Masonic Lodge 1062 in Wood River, Ill.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Fred Hamel of East Alton, Ill.; a sister, Ann Kirkpatrick of Glen Allen; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Allee Reed Funeral Home in Camdenton, with the Rev. Jim McCombs officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday at McGee Chapel Cemetery near Glen Allen. Fred Hamel will officiate, with Liley Funeral Home of Marble Hill in charge of local arrangements.
