ALTENBURG -- Leonard R. Palisch, 63, of Altenburg, died Saturday, June 6, 1992 at his farm.

He was born April 14, 1929 in Altenburg, the son of Rudolph and Ella Leimbach Palisch.

He was a retired dairy farmer and presently worked as a school bus driver for Meyer Bus Lines.

He married Lorine Buck on Dec. 3, 1955. She survives of the home.

Other survivors are three daughters, Lynda Strauser of Jackson, Sara Bohnert of Altenburg and Mary Crites of Jackson; three sisters, Mildred Grebing of Azua, Calif., Olga Schnieder of St. Ann and Elsie Seibel of Altenburg; and four grandchildren.

He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the American Legion Post 133 in Perryville. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Altenburg, where he held several offices.

He is also a past member of the District 46 School Board in Altenburg.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Young & Sons East Perry Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Lohnes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
