CHAFFEE -- Flossie Matilda Crites, 74, of 126 Tenny Mae Drive in Chaffee died Saturday, June 6, 1992, at her home.
She was born March 24, 1918, at Oak Ridge, the daughter of Edward and Eula Lape Moore. On Jan. 8, 1934, she married Lloyd V. Crites, who preceded her in death Jan. 13, 1978.
She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in Fenton for 20 years prior to her retirement nine years ago, when she moved to Chaffee. She was a member of the Vandover Baptist Church in Fenton.
Survivors include a son, Carl Crites of Potosi; two daughters, Shirley Bryan of Fenton and Peggy Crites of Chaffee; four brothers, Wilson, Orvin and Leroy Moore, all of Oak Ridge and Earlis Moore of Florence, Kan.; a sister, Bess Ruppel of Cape Girardeau; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Caney Fork Baptist church near Oak Ridge. The Rev. Wayne Randol will officiate, and burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Afton.
