SIKESTON - Luther Standridge, 88, of Sikeston, died Monday, June 8, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born Feb. 22, 1904, in Pope County, Ark., son of J.W. and Sarah Freeman Standridge.

A retired farmer, he was a Sikeston resident since 1944 and a member of First Assembly of God Church.

On May 25, 1925, he married Alma Gray in Pope County. She died Jan. 28, 1990.

He is survived by two sons, U.L. Standridge of Bertrand, John L. Standridge of Arnold; two daughters Lorene Stubbs of Plummerville, Ark., Geraldine Burdine of Scott City; a sister, Janie Melton of Bisbee, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Two sons, four brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The Rev. Milton Pool will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
