SIKESTON -- Clarence Edward Sadler, 83, of 403 Virginia in Sikeston died Sunday, June 14, 1992, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. He was born Dec. 4, 1908, at Harrisburg, Ill., the son of Clyde and Lula B. Mitchell Sadler. In 1929, he married Juanita B. Graham at New Madrid. She preceded him in death April 7, 1991...

SIKESTON -- Clarence Edward Sadler, 83, of 403 Virginia in Sikeston died Sunday, June 14, 1992, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

He was born Dec. 4, 1908, at Harrisburg, Ill., the son of Clyde and Lula B. Mitchell Sadler. In 1929, he married Juanita B. Graham at New Madrid. She preceded him in death April 7, 1991.

He worked as an agent telegrapher for the Frisco Railroad from 1929 until his retirement in 1971. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sikeston.

He also was a member of the Sikeston Masonic Lodge of which he was a past worshipful master; he also was past high priest of the Kingsway Chapter of the Royal Arch Masons of Sikeston; past illustrious master of the Cryptic Masons, El Camino Council #52; member of Royal and Select Masons; past worthy patron of the Sikeston Chapter #137 of the Order of Eastern Star, having served six different times as worthy patron.

He also was a member of the Morley Chapter #342 of the Order of the Easter Star; a member of the Sword of Bunker Hill Masonic Organization, and a member of the Transportation Communications International Union, AFL-CIO.

Survivors include two sons, Edward Graham Sadler of Washington and Jim Sadler of West Fork, Ark.; three daughters, JoAnn Trigg of Overland, Sally Cunningham of Biloxi, Miss. and Janet Buren of Festus; two brothers, Glyn Sadler of Flint, Mich. and Bill Sadler of Morley; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Two daughters, a brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, where Eastern Star Rites will be at 7:30 and Masonic Rites will be at 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Jim Guffie officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
