FRUITLAND -- Graveside service for Ruby Workman of Adrian was held Friday at a cemetery there.

Workman, 83, died Wednesday, June 10, 1992, in an Adrian nursing home.

She was born Dec. 28, 1908, at Fruitland, daughter of Charles and Nellie Howard McDowell. She married Ralph Workman, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean Hastings of Drexel, Rosemary Graves of Adrian; three brothers, James McDowell of Fruitland, Lloyd McDowell of Coconut Grove, Fla., Elliott McDowell of Scottsdale, Ariz.; two sisters, Genevieve Chapman of Tonawanda, N.Y., Wilma Whitledge of Jackson Route 1; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
