RUBY MATHIS LEEK

CAIRO, Ill. -- Former Cairo rewsident Ruby Mathis Leek, of Rockford, died Sunday at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford. She was 55.

She was born in Clinton, Ky., April 9, 1937 in Edward and Opal Rushing Mathis. She married James Leek Oct. 13, 1956. He survives.

Her survivors include her mother and as sister, Ruth Mathis, both of McClure; and a second sister, LaVerne Johnson of Mound City. Alos surviving are sons Bruce Leek and James S. Leek and a daughter, Ruth Arriago, all of Rockford, plus seven grandchildren.

Her father and a niece preceded her in death.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Crain Funeral Home in Tamms.
