Morgan M. English, 82, of Cape Girardeau Route 3 died Saturday, July 25, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 12, 1909 in Fornfelt, the son of Joe and Sarah Rhodes English.

On Aug. 26, 1933, he married Lillian McAtee at Jackson. She survives.

He is also survived by one son, Joe English, Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Peggy Stanfield, Cape Girardeau; a sister, Nell Walden, Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One brother preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Bell City United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge 489 of Bell City, where he was past master. He was also a member of Railway Signalmen of America, and was noted in area as an antique furniture restorer.

He moved to Cape Girardeau from Bell City in 1982. He retired in 1974 after 35 years as a signal maintenance man for the Cotten Belt Railroad.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel with the Rev. Neil Stein officiating. Burial will follow at Stroderville Cemetery near Whitewater.

Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m.
