PERRYVILLE -- Funeral service for Walter J. Fahnestock of Perryville will be held at 2 p.m. today at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Gerold McBride will officiate, with burial in Home Cemetery.

Friends may call after 6:30 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Fahnestock, 84, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Dec. 23, 1907, at McBride, son of Jacob G. and Maggie May Statler Fahnestock.

Fahnestock was a retired FAA air traffic communicator, and member of First Baptist Church in Perryville.

Survivors include a sister, Eunice Schade of McBride.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
