WILFRED B. CORNELIUS

PERRYVILLE -- Wilfred B. Cornelius, 66, of Perryville, died Monday, Aug. 24, 1992, at American Care Center.

He was born April 2, 1926, at Belgique, son of Alfonse and Betsy Cornelius. He first married Marjorie Sommers, who died June 21, 1970. He later married Rita Meyr Klaus Jan. 28, 1978.

Cornelius was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Glen Cornelius of Hartford, Conn., Dennis and Lee Cornelius of Perryville; two daughters, Linda Schremp and Susan Bert of Ste. Genevieve; three stepsons, Victor and Kirby Klaus of Perryville, Bobby Klaus of Frohna; a brother, Leonard Cornelius of Perryville; two sisters, Lillian Richardet of Perryville, Regina Bellon of St. Louis; four grandchildren, and seven stepgrandchildren.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Young and Sons Funeral Home. The parish wake is at 7, and American Legion wake at 7:30.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Edward Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
