SIKESTON -- Clyde M. Kennedy, 87, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born July 28, 1905, in Independence County, Ark., son of Arch and Lou Lane Kennedy. He and Gladys Logan were married Oct. 6, 1922. She died Sept. 5, 1971...

SIKESTON -- Clyde M. Kennedy, 87, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born July 28, 1905, in Independence County, Ark., son of Arch and Lou Lane Kennedy. He and Gladys Logan were married Oct. 6, 1922. She died Sept. 5, 1971.

Kennedy was a retired carpenter, and member of Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, Stanley Kennedy of Fairdealing, Claude Kennedy of Sikeston, Bryant Kennedy of Greenville, Dennis Kennedy of Fontana, Calif., Larry Kennedy of Las Vegas, Nev.; a daughter, Virginia Taylor of Sikeston; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Marvin Butrum will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
