SIKESTON -- Alma D. Heuiser, 75, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center emergency room due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

She was born Jan. 3, 1917, in Callio, Mo., to the late Clarence C. and Fredona Jane Taylor Cavins.

She was a housewife and homemaker, and for 14 years was a cook at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morehouse and a member of the Morehouse chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

In December 1935, she married Alvin L. Heuiser, who preceded her in death Feb. 17, 1973. She is survived by a son, Larry Heuiser of Sikeston; a daughter, Ruth Shaver of North Kingstown, R.I.; one brother, John Cavins of Granite City, Ill.; five sisters, Beulah Davis of Granite City, Lela Hileman of Morehouse, and Alta Ellison, Lola Griffin and Clella Reed, all of Sikeston; and three granddaughters.

Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel with the Rev. Dolan F. Rogers officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
