PERRYVILLE -- James M. McCarthy Sr., 90, of Perryville, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1992, at American Care Center. He was born Feb. 7, 1902, in St. Louis, son of Joseph and Clara McCarthy. He and Chlola Brown were married Sept. 26, 1941. She died Dec. 25, 1987...

PERRYVILLE -- James M. McCarthy Sr., 90, of Perryville, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 1992, at American Care Center.

He was born Feb. 7, 1902, in St. Louis, son of Joseph and Clara McCarthy. He and Chlola Brown were married Sept. 26, 1941. She died Dec. 25, 1987.

Survivors include two sons, James McCarthy Jr. of Orange Park, Fla., Michael McCarthy of Ironton; a daughter, Betty Steele of Perryville; a stepson, Harry Brown of Perryville; 15 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 8:30 a.m. Friday.
