LENA GIBBS

ANNA, Ill. -- Lena Gibbs, 80, of Anna, died Friday, Oct. 30, 1992 at Union County Nursing Home in Anna.

She was born Sept. 26, 1912, in Calhoun County, Miss., daughter of John and Marjorie Cost Bruner.

On Dec. 28, 1928, she married Elmer Gibbs in Marked Tree, Ark. He preceded her in death March 23, 1992.

She was also preceded in death by one son.

She is survived by two sons, Paul Gibbs, Jonesboro, Raymond Eugene Gibbs, Anna; four daughters, Mildred Dillow, Anna, Lorene Benedette, Macon, Ga., Mary Richardson, Anna, Deloris Barton, St. Charles, Mo.; one sister, Eva Mae Newsome, Bruce, Miss.; 22 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Mission Valley Pentecostal Church.

Funeral service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Norris and Son Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. George Pitts and the Rev. Lloyd Sullivan officiating. Burial will follow in Casper Cemetery.
