PERRYVILLE -- Joseph "Tudor" Courtois, 78, of Perryville, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Oct. 16, 1914, in Perry County, son of Vincent and Alice Steyns Courtois. He and Pearl F. Zahner were married Feb. 15, 1952. She died April 11, 1984...

PERRYVILLE -- Joseph "Tudor" Courtois, 78, of Perryville, died Monday, Nov. 23, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 16, 1914, in Perry County, son of Vincent and Alice Steyns Courtois. He and Pearl F. Zahner were married Feb. 15, 1952. She died April 11, 1984.

Courtois was a retired bartender. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church, American Legion Post 133, KC Council 1263, VFW Post 4282 and Elks Lodge 2701, all in Perryville.

Survivors include a sister, Viola Blechle of Perryville.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent's Church. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-9:45 a.m. Wednesday. Parish and KC wake service will be held at 7 tonight.
