SILVER S. HALL

OAK RIDGE -- Silver S. Hall, 83, of Star Route, Oak Ridge died Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1992, at his home.

He was born July 7, 1909, at Oak Ridge, the son of Moses and Vina Harrell Hall. He married Freida Bufford at Jackson, and she preceded him in death on May 8, 1989.

He farmed in the Oak Ridge are all his life and was an employee of the Lapierre Handle Factory in Jackson for many years.

Survivors include six sons, Jerry and Alfred Farrar, both of Cape Girardeau, Delbert, Wayne and Wesly Hall, all of Oak Ridge, and Lonnie Hall of Murphysboro, Tenn.; six daughters, Glenda Williams and Christine Davis of Cape Girardeau, Geneva McDaniel of St. Louis, and Aletha Martin and Evelyn and Doris Hall, all of Oak Ridge; and 11 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sheila, five brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the McCombs Chapel, and burial will be in Wilson Cemetery near Oak Ridge.
