Allmon, 66, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1992, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Feb. 14, 1926, at Whitewater, son of Robert Lee and Blanche Winchester Allmon. He and Wilma Laverne Dunning were married April 18, 1948, at Delta.

Allmon was a gas leak inspector 30 years, retiring from Union Electric. He was a member of Red Star Baptist Church, American Legion and VFW. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Allmon of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Glenn Allmon of Whitewater, and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son.
