ORAN -- Funeral mass for Joe A. Vogel of Oran will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church. The Rev. Normand Varone will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home here after 4 p.m. today. The rosary will be recited at 7, and KC prayer service will be held at 7:30.

Vogel, 71, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 18, 1921, at Oran, son of Joseph Anton and Mary Magdalene Metz Vogel. He and Mary Anne Lane Hamilton were married Jan. 3, 1976.

Vogel owned and operated an auto parts dealership many years, and then owned and operated Oran Insurance Agency/Bookkeeping and Tax Accountant. He retired in 1991.

He was a member of Guardian Angel Church, St. Joseph Sodality, and KC Council 4311 at Oran.

Survivors include his wife; two stepsons, Joseph Hamilton of Kevil, Ky., Michael Hamilton of Reidland, Ky.; three stepgrandchildren, and two great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
