BALMAR E. TOWNLEY

ADVANCE -- Balmar E. Townley, 73, of Advance, died Monday, Dec. 7, 1992, at her home.

She was born Oct. 26, 1919, at Hellyville, Ala., daughter of William Sherman and Alice Elizabeth Flanagan Head. She and Grover Allen Townley were married in 1954.

Townley was a member of the Pentecostal Church in Corinth, Miss.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Randell Faust with the U.S. Navy; two stepsons, Billy Townley of Michigan, Bobby Townley of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Peggy Strawbridge of Steele; a brother, Wallace Head of Chaffee; five sisters, Velma Rainey and Della Cobb of Chaffee, Sue Angle of Cape Girardeau, Ella Herring of Holly Springs, Miss., Shirley Statler of Oviend, Fla., and two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. William Marshall will officiate, with burial in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
