RICHARD BLAKE COPELAND

SIKESTON -- Richard Blake Copeland, 45, of Sikeston, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1992, near Benton.

He was born Aug. 13, 1947 at Blytheville, Ark., son of Earl Blake and Marie Hedy Swiney, who both survive of Sikeston.

He was married to Leigh Brooks.

He was co-owner until 1989 of Scotty's 76 Truck Stop at Matthews. He then owned and operated A & L Amusement in Cape Girardeau.

He moved from Cape Girardeau to Sikeston one year ago. He was of the Baptist denomination.

He was a member of Elks Lodge No. 639 in Cape Girardeau. He was an avid bowler and vice president of the Cape Girardeau Bowlers Association. He was a member of the ABC Hall of Fame for shooting a 300 game.

Surviving, besides his parents, are two daughters, Kristi and Lori Copeland, both of Ponca City, Okla.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Sikeston after 6 p.m. today. A service by Elks Lodge No. 2319 will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel with Cline Ables officiating. Burial will be Sunday in Mounds Cemetery at Lilbourn.
