CHAFFEE -- Jessie Rozina Glency, 91, of Chaffee, died Monday, Dec. 28, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 8, 1901, at Pinckneyville, Ill., daughter of Champion Calvin and Elzora Byrd Bailey. She and Lawrence J. Glency were married Jan. 9, 1926. He died March 30, 1968.

Glency was a member of General Baptist Church, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, RSVP, all at Chaffee, and Ladies Auxiliary of Brotherhood of Locomotive Lodge.

Survivors include a son, Wendell Glency of Chaffee; three daughters, Laverne Simpson and Glenda Hahn of Chaffee, Velma Hester, Chaffee Route 2; a sister, Nell Henderson of Mounds, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, a great-grandson, six brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Revs. Arvil Huffman and Joseph Payne will officiate, with burial in Union Park Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
