The Women's Studies Program offers a 15-hour minor that includes classes in speech communication, literature, history and women's studies.

"One of my main goals is to create a broad appeal for any student on campus to find that a minor in women's studies is an important asset to them and should complement whatever major they have declared," Moore said.

She said she also wants to organize events to let students meet successful women.
