Cape Girardeau County residents who have completed 60 hours toward an undergraduate degree can apply for the Cape Girardeau County's University Extension Council scholarship.

Applicants must have at least a 2.5 grade-point average and be enrolled in a four-year degree program in agriculture, human environmental sciences, youth development, which includes social work, psychology, juvenile justice, or business, which includes marketing, accounting and economics.

A $200 scholarship will be paid directly to the student's institution.

Applications are due at the Extension Office, 684 Jackson Trail by July 9. The recipient will be notified by July 23.
