Lora Elizabeth Fornkahl and Jason Lee Estes were married June 23, 2001, at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Douglas Breite performed the double ring ceremony. Dennis Rolwing of Texas read scriptures.
The Trinity Ringers Handbell Choir provided music. Organist was Dottie Meyr; flutist was Anna Bonney of Jackson, Mo., sister of the bride; and soloist was Bill Bonney of Jackson, brother-in-law of the bride.
Parents of the bride are Ronald and Glenda Fornkahl of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Dennis and Karen Estes of Diehlstadt, Mo.
Anna Bonney was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Melanie Lutes and Marcie McCormack of Jackson, and Meagan Fornkahl of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Jeremy Pruden of Scott City, Mo. Groomsmen were Chris Jackson of Morehouse, Mo., Jason Lawless of Benton, Mo., and Jason Youngblood of East Prairie, Mo. Ushers were Andrew Fornkahl of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride; Gary Files; and Paul Estes, cousin of the groom.
Candlelighter was Andrew Fornkahl.
Flower girl was Alison Martin, daughter of Mark and Katrina Martin of Oklahoma and cousin of the groom. Ringbearer was Conrad Bonney, son of Bill and Anna Bonney and nephew of the bride.
Mollie Bowman of Jackson, cousin of the bride, attended the guest book. Bubbles were handed out by Ashley Cook of Jackson and Emily Schlimpert of Altenburg.
Following the ceremony, the reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City. Servers were Nora Ahrens and Mary Schlimpert, aunts of the bride; and Linda Estes and Mary Ann Rolwing, aunts of the groom.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner June 22 at Woodard's.
Mrs. Estes received a bachelor of general studies degree in May from Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Bank of America.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Kelly High School at Benton. He is employed by Missouri Department of Transportation.
The couple is residing at Diehlstadt.
