BUS ROUTES: JACKSON SCHOOLS ANNOUNCE BUS ROUTES FOR 2001-2002

These are the morning routes for buses serving Jackson public schools.

Rural routes

Bus #2, Sue Long, Blue Heart

Route begins on Highway 34 at 7 a.m., just past Co. Rd. 347. South on 343. Turn around, return to east on Highway 34, south on Co. Rd. 341/ Turn around, return on Highway 34 to east on 34/72. This bus picks up all students from Highway 34 to Straightway Feed on Highway 72. This bus makes two stops only on West Lane Street at West Lane School and at the dead end of Oak St. for Orchard and Middle School students. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #3, Vicki Sander, Brown Diamond

Route begins at 6:40 on Co. Rd. 370, east on Hwy. 34, north on Route UU. North on Co. Rd. 351 turn around, Back to UU to Co. Rd. 354, west on 356, turn around, north on 354, west on 350 to Jones residence, turn around. Right on 350, turn around. Continue on Co. Rd. 350. Go south on 351 to Barkers, return, east on 72 making one stop at J & S, on to Millersville School.

Then non-stop to Jackson schools.

Bus #5, Glenda Hawkins, Red Square

Leaves Transportation Center at 6:55. Route begins on County Road 313 at 7:08. Turn around just south of Crystal Springs Estates, south on 316, south on 319 making all stops to Route K. West on Route K, not picking up on Toute K. South on Co. Rd. 201, offload at Gordonville Attendance Center. This route is reversed in the afternoon.

Bus #7, Dixie Batten, Black Square

Route begins at 6:35 on County Road 553 just past Co. Rd. 544, north on 553, west on 525, east on 532 to Pulliams, return to west on Co. Rd. 525. North on Co. Rd. 525, turn around. Return to west on Co. Rd. 522 to Vangilders. Return south on Co. Rd. 532, south on 543 to east on Co. Rd. 544 and south on 553 to Hwy. 177.

Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #9, Joe Nenninger, Green Triangle

Route begins at 6:50 on Larch Lane north of Rt. FF. North on Larch Lane to County Road 434, to 436 picking up students to FF. East on FF, north on outer road, east on Co. Rd. 553 to Hwy 61, south on Hwy 61 making all stops to Co. Rd. 541. East on 541 then return to south on 61, left on Choctow Lane, left on Chochise Lane, back to north on Highway 61 to North Elementary then to schools in Jackson.

Bus #10, Roger Langston, Brown Heart

Leaves Transportation Center at 6:30. Route begins on County Road 620 at 6:45. Northeast on Route W, making all stops to County Road 614, west on Co. Rd. 614.

East on Co. Rd. 616, north on Route W to West on Route Y. Making all stops on Route Y to County Road 301. Stop loading. (This bus also serves Sunset Acres on Highway 61. See town routes.)

Bus #11, Gary King, Orange Circle,

Route begins on Route Y just past Rt. W at 6:48 AM. South on Co. Rd. 621, Oriole Road, east on 638 to Black Forest, goes past Black Forest and turns around. Return south on 645, right on Co. Rd. 642 stopping at Kelley CT. Continue to Co. Rd. 621 left on Co. Rd. 618. West on 618 picking up to overpass. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #12, Truman Petzoldt, Orange Heart

Leaves Transportation Center at 6:30. Route begins on Co. Rd. 439 at 6:50 north of FF. North to #440 and turn around. Back to FF picking up all students to Hwy. 61. North on 61 to Highway C, west on Co. Rd 542. South on 61 Highway, west on Co. Rd. 539, turn around. Back to south on 61 making stops to Hwy. C. On to Whispering Heights, picking up all students. Offload at North Elementary and then non-stop to schools in Jackson

Bus #14, Brenda Barker, Pink Square

Route begins at 6:46 on Co. Rd. 607, turn around, picking up students to Hwy. 177. Right on 177 to Bella Vista Lakes. Return to Hwy. 177, north on Co. Rd. 553, west on Co. Rd. 550, north on Co. Rd. 549, west on Co. Rd. 546, south on Co. Rd. 543 to Hwy. 177. Stop loading and to schools

Bus #15, Mitsye Sticht, Blue Square

Route begins on County Road 525 at 6:45. East on 525, north on 535 (US Hill), return to 525 to Neelys Landing, making all stops on 177 from Neelys Landing to Route W. Then to North Elementary to offload students and schools in Jackson.

Bus #18, Kai Keller, Green Square

Leave Transportation Center at 6:50. Route begins on Co. Rd. 227.Turn around. Back Rt. A, left on Hwy. 25, picking up to Co. Rd. 214, West on 228, turn around, back to Hwy 25. East on 214, turn around. Back to Hwy. 25, west on Co. Rd 226, turn around and back to Hwy. 25, picking up all students to Route Z. Left into Shady Brook making stops. Return to Hwy. 25, left on Route Z to Gordonville Attendance Center. Back to north on Hwy 25, not picking up, to schools in Jackson. This bus does not stop at South Elementary.

Bus #19, Carolyn Stearns, White Square

Route begins on County Road 483 at 6:35. West on Route BB to Co. Rd. 476, turn around. Back to Rt. BB, south on 481, return to Route BB, north on 473, return to Rt. BB, east on Rt. BB. North on #471. Return east on Route BB to north on Route B, east on 458, return to Route B, south on Route B, east on 462, and return south on Route B, picking up all students to Millersville Attendance Center. Transfer students attending schools in Jackson to Bus 40#, Angie Floyd. Then back to west on Hwy 72, picking up all students from Lakeview Acres to Millersville Attendance Center.

Bus #20, Alice Ahrens, Gray Heart

Route begins at home on Co. Rd. 373 at 6:45. East on Rt. OO. North on Route F, where route begins at 6:50, east on 340 about 1 mile. Turn around, north on 324, turn around, west 366, south on 365. After approx. 1 mile, return on 365, west on 361 approx. 1 mile, return on 361. Northwest on 361 1 mile and return to 335 to 328. Turn around; return on 335 to east on 330 to Route PP, stopping on Route PP from 330 to Hwy 34/72 and to schools.

Bus #21, Kenny Mirly, Red Heart

Route begins at Rumfelts on Hines Landing at 6:46. Return west on Rt. CC, south on Rt. C, east on 524. Turn around and return to Rt. C, south on Rt. C to Pocahontas, south on Rt. C to Hwy. 61, making stops at Northland Hills and the firehouse. Offload at North Elementary and then non-stop to schools in Jackson.

Bus #22, Dorothy Eldracher,Red Triangle

Route begins at 6:35 on County Road 383, south on Co. Rd. 383 to west on 384, turn around. East on Co. Rd. 381, south on Route U approximately 2 miles. Turn around, north on Route U, west on County Road 371, return to north on Route U to Highway 34, east then north on County Road 347, not picking up to Millersville School. Then to schools in Jackson.

Bus #24, Gary Daniel, Red Circle

Route begins on Harmony Lane, (Co. Rd. 435) at 6:58. North on 435 to FF, east on FF not picking up (See Bus #12) south on outer road to Mulberry Mobile Court. South on Highway 61 stopping at Spring Lake Estates, Sapphire, Godwin and Tavy Lane.

Bus #33, Winnie Adams, Blue Circle

Route begins on Highway 72 at 6:48. West on 72 two miles, turn around making all stops on Highway 72 to left on Co. Rd 485. Turn around and return to 72. West on Co. Rd. 352. Return to 72. North on 481. Return to 72, through Millersville on Market St. and return to 72 to Millersville school. Offload at Millersville School. Return to Highway 72 picking up students including Seabaugh Acres subdivision. Then to schools in Jackson. (Students living on 72 from Highway B to Lakeview Acres and attending Millersville School see Bus #19)

Bus #34, Esther Cook, Brown Triangle

Route begins at 6:40 AM on County Road 379 at Amelunke's, north on Route OO, west on 382. To Stoney Brook Ln., turn around, return north on OO to Burfordville, and stop loading. (Students on Highway 34 see Bus #35.) North on County Road 349, making all stops to Highway 72. Unload at Millersville Attendance Center then non-stop to schools in Jackson.

Bus #35, Tammy Hunt, Green Diamond

Route begins on Highway UU at 6:43, to County Road 354. West on Highway 34, turn around just past Bollinger county line picking up all students on Hwy 34 to Co. Rd. 360, south on 360, south on 361, west on 362 and turn around. East on Hwy. 34, north on Co. Rd. 347, west on 346 to Highway 72. Stop loading, two stops between Hwy. 72 and Millersville Attendance Center. Back east on 72, right on Country Lane to Old Toll Rd, north on West Vale. Right on 72. Then to schools.

Bus #40, Angie Floyd, Purple Circle

Route begins on County Road 468 at 7:08. South on Co. Rd. 465, left on Co. Rd. 450, turn around. Back to Co. Rd. 465, left on 465, making all stops to Hwy. 72. West on Highway 72, left into Lakeview Acres, stopping at Tonya and Lyndon. Meets Bus #19, Carolyn Stearns, for transfer of students. Bus #40 to schools in Jackson and Bus #19 for Millersville students. Bus #40 makes stop on Highway 72 to junction of Highway 34.

Bus #41, Doug Golden, Purple Square

Leaves Transportation Center at 7 a.m. Route begins at Shepards Cove Children's Home, making stop on Route K to Hillcrest Manor subdivision. Stops are Greenbriar and Forester, Hillvale and Forester, S. Forester and W. Forester. Offloads at Gordonville School then non-stop to schools in Jackson.

Bus #43, Tammy Biri, Purple Triangle

Route begins at 7 a.m. at Route W Mobile Home Court on Rt. W at 7:05. Picking up all students, stops at F St., C St., and A St. in that order.

Bus #44, Jane Oehl, Purple Heart

Route begins on 8076 Route D at 6:50. North on Route D, east on 440, return to Route D, north on Rt. D, west on 453, west on 452, return to south on 453, west on 454, south on 457, south on 458, east on 454, south on Rt. D, east on 444 to Rouggly's, return to south on Rt. D, west on 460, south on 459, south on Route D, south on Broadridge, stopping at Joyland Daycare. East on Orchard to East Lane (Middle School students see Bus #49).

Bus #45, Donna Golden, Pink Circle

Route begins at County Road 318 at 7 a.m.. South on 318, east on Route K to Parkwood Lake Estates, return west on Route K. Goes to Gordonville Attendance Center and then to schools in Jackson. This bus does not go to South Elem.

Bus #47, W.L. Voges, Pink Triangle

Route begins on County Road 324 at 7:05, to south on 337, turn around, east on 332. South on 327, east on Route Z, picking up on Rt. Z from 327 to Highway 25, North on Highway 25, west on 325, east on Rt. Z to Gordonville Attendance Center. Return east on Rt. Z to north on Hwy. 25 making all stops on Hwy. 25 to Co. Rd. 316. Then to schools in Jackson.

Bus #48, Joy Floyd, Blue Triangle

Route begins on North Farmington at 7:06. North on 436, west on 439 to FF, right on FF, right on Larch Lane. Picking up at Weiss Mobile Park. Stop at Curious Kids for the students in Jackson town schools only. (Students living on Hwy. FF see Bus #4.)

Bus #51, Joan Pierce, Gray Triangle

Route begins on Highway Z at 6:40, turn around, back to Co. Rd. 376, turn around. North on 375, making stops to Highway OO. East on OO to south on Rt. F, east on Route Z. South on Co. Rd. 233, turn around. Back to Rt. Z, east on Rt. Z. South on 231, east on 222 to Route Z. Stop loading to Gordonville Attendance Center then non-stop to schools in Jackson.

Bus #52, Wade Hoffman, Gold Diamond

Route begins on Route C at 6:30. West on County Road 513, north on Co. Rd. #512. Turn around; return south on Co. Rd. 512, east on 516 to New Wells. West on Route CC, north on 512 approximately 1 mile, return to west on Route CC, south on 522 about 2 miles and return to Route CC, south on Highway 61, west on Route E, turn around and return to Highway 61, picking up students to County Road 542. On to North Elementary to offload students, then to schools in Jackson.

Bus #53, Ken Davis, Gray Square

This bus serves only Lamplighter Mobile Home Park. Leaves Transportation Center at 6:50. Off loads at South Elementary, Middle School, Junior High and Senior High.

Bus #54, Cindy Thompson, Gold Circle

Route begins at 6:45 on County Road 605, making all stops. Return to Highway 177, east on 603 through to Route Y, northwest on Route W, making all stops to North Elementary. Left on 177 to left on Highway 61, left on Co. Rd. 601 picking up all students. Left on Route W to Greenbriar Subdivision. This route is reversed in afternoon.

Town routes

Bus #4, Stephen Golden, White Circle

Leaves Transportation Center at 7 a.m. Route begins on Strawberry Acres subdivision. South on Strawberry lane, west on Nell Green, round to south on Pecan, south on Connie, east on Strawberry Lane back to Rt. D. Right on Rt. D to Bark's Mobile Park, north on Highway 61 to east on Rt. Y. South on County Road 301 stopping at Green Ridge and Green Trail. Left on County Road 302 loading students at Clover Hill Trailer Court. Turn around and back to Greensferry Road, making all stops to Francis Dr.

Bus #8, David Turner, Green Heart

Leaves Transportation Center at 7:06. Route begins at Gerald St., left on Rosamund, right on E. Jackson Blvd. Right on Michael-Anna, right on Corinne, right on Old Cape Road, left on Shawnee, left on Bel-Air, right on Crestwood, left on Anna, left on Lyndhurst, right on Lamar, right on Kies Ave., left on S Neal. Right on E Jefferson, right on Bellevue, left on East Adams to apartments. Right on South Maryland, left on East Main, left on Ohio, right on Monroe. Left on N. Hope to South Elementary School.

Bus #10, Roger Langston, Brown Heart

On Francis, just off Greens Ferry Road. Making stops at Francis St. and Shawn Dr., mid-block between Martha and Douglas, left on Patty Lane, right on Goodson, stop on Goodson at Brookview. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #16 , Darlene McLemore, Black Heart

Begins at 7:15 at Just Kids on E. Main, Good News, Tendercare, and Just Kids on Roseamund.

This bus is assigned to the shuttle run from West Lane Elem. to South Elem. for special needs students.

Bus #17, Connie Loy, Gray Diamond

Leaves Transportation Center at 7:05. Route begins on West Jackson Blvd. at 7:08. Stops at 72 and Westridge. Right on Westbrook, around on Carolyn, Cathy, and Hillcrest. East on West Jackson Blvd., east on West Adams, south on Daisy, east on Dallas, north on Union, east on Adams, south on Missouri, west on Jefferson, north on Russell to West Main, east on Main, north on Georgia, east on Kate, north on Maryland, west on Florence, south on North Hope, west on Jefferson and to school.

Bus #23, Larry Hoffmeister, Orange Square

Leave Transportation Center at 7 a.m. Route begins at 3097 E Main. Left on Oak Hill, left on Oak Ridge, left on Vail Dr., right on Breckenridge, left on Hidden Meadows to right on East Main and to school.

Bus #25, Simon Ebenstein, Blue Diamond

Leaves Transportation Center at 6:55. Route begins on E. Jackson Blvd. at Days Inn. On E. Jackson Blvd, south on Kimbel Lane, east on Country Club, south on Kimbeland, northeast on Greenway, east on E. Jackson Blvd. Making all stops on south side (door side) south into Annwood, stopping on Brittany at Nicole Lane, south on Brittany to Leming Lane, stop at Leming, east on Leming stopping at Dana, north on Nicole, north on Brittany and east on E. Jackson Blvd. Stopping at Old Cape Road Circle. On Jackson Blvd. making stops on north side (door side), northwest on Old Cape Road, left on Gloria, left on Clover, right on E. Jackson Blvd., right on Gloria, left on Old Cape Road. Right on Smith Trail left on Trail Ridge, left on Whitney Jean, left on Drew. North on Donna, west on Otto, left on Old Cape Rd. pick up on Otto Dr. to Donna Dr., south on Donna, right on Jackson Blvd. South on S. Hope to South Elementary School.

Bus #30, Cindy Roach, Black Triangle

Route begins at 7:10 on West Lane north of Orchard, right on Alpine, picking up at Aspen and Aaron. North on Broadridge, left on North Farmington and back to W. Independence. Right on Primrose, around to Briarwood, back to east on W. Independence, left on Rosebud, around to Tanglewood, right on Bramblewood to Red Bud, back to Tanglewood east on W. Independence, then to Small World II and stop loading. To schools.

Bus # 31, David Thompson, White Triangle

Route begins on Old Cape Road at apartments next to Wink's at 7:06. Left on Bainbridge making all stops to the overpass. To school.

Bus #36, Sarah Turnbow, Blue Triangle

Route begins at 7:10 on Lacey St. Right on Stotler Way to the corner of Stotler Way and Ridgeway, east on Ridgeway to Mansfield, left on Diana and left on Ridge Road. Left on Mulberry St., south on Sycamore, north on Cedar, stop loading then to South Elem., Sr. High, Jr. High and Middle School.

Bus #37, Sue Neumann

This is a special needs bus route, this route changes daily according to the needs of the students.

Bus #42, Connie Thompson, Purple Diamond,

Leaves Transportation Center at 7:10. Route begins at Bellevue and Washington at 7:19. On to North Neal St. at Morton, east on Morton, south on Donald, east on East Main, north on Tracy, west on Woodland and to schools. This bus does not serve South Elementary.

Bus #44, Jane Oehl, Purple Heart

South on Broadridge, stopping at Joyland Daycare. East on Orchard at East Lane (middle school students, see Bus #49) and one stop across from West Lane School for senior high and primary annex students.

Bus #49, Rene Smith, Pink Diamond

Leaves Transportation Center at 7 a.m. Route begins on W. Jackson Blvd. Adams St., north on Oklahoma St., west on Monroe, north on Colorado, east on Madison, north on Russell, west on West Adams, south on Union, west on Dallas, north on Farmington Road, east on West Main, north on Union, west on Washington St., cross Farmington to Bast, south on Bast, east on W. Main, north on Farmington, west on Oak, north on Henderson, west on Priest, south on Elmwood around to north on Elwanda, west on Oak, south on East Lane, east on Rolling Fields, west on Oak to Broadridge. Stops on Broadridge and Orchard and East and Orchard. Stop loading and to schools. (Students living on West Adams see Bus #17.)

Bus #50

This is a special needs bus route, this route changes daily according to the needs of the

students.

Bus #55, Linda Putz, Gold Square

Leaves Transportation Center at 6:50. Route begins at the end of Ridge Road at 7:01. Right on Lakewoods, right on Litz Blvd. to Wedgewood, left on Watson Dr. to Palmer turn around back to Ridge Road. Left on Mulberry just before Fairway Estates, right on Birdie, left on Bogey, making one stop at the corner of Bogey and Bunker. Left on Bogey to the corner of Eagle and Bunker making one stop. Continue on Eagle to the corner of Wedge Ln. and Eagle making stop. Continue on Eagle to Birdie Ln. making one stop. Continue on Eagle making one stop in the middle of the block. On to Ridge Road making all stops from North Shawnee to East Main, right on E. Main and to schools.

Bus #56, Judy McCormick

This is a special needs bus for early childhood students, this route changes according to the needs of the students.

Bus #57, Butch Schneider, Gold Heart

Leaves Transportation Center at 7:05. Route begins at 7:08 on North Farmington Road. Right on Cecile, left on Alvin, left on Dorothy, right on N. Farmington Rd., left on Oak (not picking up, see Bus #49) left on Morgan, right on Randy, right on Union, left on Parkview St., left on Elm., left on Oak St., right on Cherry St., left on W. Washington St., left on N. High St. left on Park St., left on Russell, left on Mary St., right on Missouri St.

Bus #58, Judy Dale, Gold Diamond

Leaves Transportation Center at 7 a.m. Route begins on 1341 Donna Lynn, left on Oakwood, right on Deerwood, return to Greens Ferry Road, east on Clark St., stopping at the corners of Clark and Rebecca, Clark and Hannah, Hannah and Jessica and Jessica and Rebecca and return to Greens Ferry Rd. Stop at the corner of Walnut and Greensferry, right on Olive, stopping at the corner of Olive and Forest, left on Independence, making all stops to High St.

Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #59, Charles Ahrens, Gold Triangle

Leaves Transportation Center at 6:53. Route begins on South Hope St. at 7 a.m., left on Lake St., right on Berchman, left on Highland, right on Cherokee, right on Apache, left on Crow, left on Royal, right on Shady Lane, left on Jackson Trail to South Hope St. South on S. Hope, making all stops to entrance to Grandview Acres, right into Grandview Acres, right on Hillside Dr., left on Sunset Lane, left on Timber Lane, left on Edgewood Rd, right on Grandview Dr. back around south on South Hope, stopping at Titanium and Triamite. Go through drive at Route 25 Hall, back to South Elementary School to offload students.

Bus #60, Sue Zoll, Brown Square

Leaves Transportation Center at 7:08. Route begins on East Main at Bellevue, picking up all students from Bellevue to Shawnee Blvd. South on Shawnee Blvd., making all stops to Old Cape Road. West on Old Cape, making all stops on Old Cape from Shawnee to Michael Anna and stop loading. This bus goes first to South Elementary School.

Bus #61, Zelda Parker, Black Diamond

Leaves Transportation Center at 7:08. First stop on Mary St. between N. High St. and Hope St. North on Hope St., east on Greens Ferry Road, south on Eastview Court, making all stops, east on Emma, north on August, east on Odus. Turn around at Litz Park. Back to west on Greens Ferry Road, south on Maryland, west on Emma, north on Georgia, west on Greens Ferry Road, south on Hope. Stop loading and to schools.

Bus #62, Becky Turner

This is a special needs bus for early childhood students, this route changes according to the needs of the students.

Bus #37 and Bus #56 will have noon early childhood routes. These routes change with the needs of the students.

Bus #39 driven by Angie Floyd will transport early childhood speech students. This route changes with the needs of the students.

Route #501 driven by Tammy Hunt is a special needs route driven during the day. This route changes with the needs of the students.
