There area more than 70,000 licenses issued in Missouri. Renewable classifications include cosmetology/all, cosmetology/hairdressing, manicuring, esthetics, instructors, salons and school.

License renewal is important because it shows the applicant's commitment to property practice of the skills need for the various professions," said Pam Hoelscher, executive director of the Missouri Board of Cosmetology. "Cosmetology is a growing industry, and its practitioners have a responsibility to remain current in their knowledge."
