The Accident and Back Care Center has moved to 1636 Independence.

The new location provides more space and better parking said Dr. Gary J. Bridges, who has operated a chiropractic office in Cape Girardeau since 1986, and has worked as a chiropractor since 1974.

Bridges, a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic at St. Louis, and a Diplomate of the National Board of Basic Sciences.

Hours at the new office varies, but he is available by appointment from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 to noon Saturday.

Chiropractic services at the clinic include spinal and extremity manipulation/adjusting, nutritional therapy, physical modalities and rehabilitation exercise.

Bridges is a member of the Southeast Missouri, Missouri and National Chiropractors Associations. He is also a board member of the Cape Girardeau Chapter of the American Red Cross, serving as chairman of the Armed Forces Emergency Services board.

He has attended numerous seminars and continuing education courses sponsored by the Missouri state Chiropractic Association, Logan College and others.

Techniques utilized at the Accident and Back Care Center, include Applied Kinesiology incorporating "Total Person" Concept of Health, (structural, chemical, mental); Activator & Percussor (light force mechanical adjusting); and Sacral-Occipital Technique.
