CHRISTMAS CHURCH SERVICES

Christmas Eve

• Grace Bible Church will have a communion service at 6 p.m. Sunday.
• New Life Gospel Center in Scott City, Mo., will have an 11 a.m. worship and an 8 p.m. candlelight service with communion.
• St. Andrew Lutheran Church will present the cantata "Christmas Rose" during its 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services. A 6:30 p.m. service is suited for families, and there will be an 11 p.m. candlelight service.
• Bethany Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau will have a celebration of Christmas in music and drama at 10:40 a.m. A candlelight service is at 5:30 p.m.
• Hanover Lutheran Church will have worship at 7:45 a.m. and 10 a.m. Communion will be at 6 p.m. service and children's program. A candlelight service will be at 11 p.m., also with communion.
• Lynwood Baptist Church will have Christmas Eve worship at 10:30 a.m., with a musical program. There will be no Sunday school classes. There also will be a 5 p.m. service. No child care will be provided during that service.
• Cornerstone Church will have its regular Sunday morning worship schedule but no evening services.
• First Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau will have a worship at 10:45 a.m. and a candlelight and carols service at 6 p.m.
• First Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau will have a family Christmas worship tonight at 7. Christmas Eve services are at 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. There will be no evening service Sunday.
• First Christian Church will have service Christmas Eve at 10:30 a.m. A candlelight communion service is at 7:30 p.m.
• Hobbs United Methodist Chapel will have a Christmas Eve worship at 9 a.m. and a family candlelight service with communion at 11 p.m.
• St. Mary Cathedral will celebrate Mass at 5:15 p.m. and host a Midnight Mass at midnight Christmas Eve, with carols beginning at 11:30 p.m.
• Grace United Methodist Church will have Christmas Eve services at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and a candlelight service at 6 p.m.
• La Croix United Methodist Church will have Christmas Eve worship at 5 p.m., and a performance by the children's choir at a 6:30 p.m. service Sunday. Communion will be part of the 11 p.m. service.
• Centenary United Methodist Church will have worship at 8 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. There will be a candlelight and communion service at 7 p.m.
• First Presbyterian Church will have a Christmas Eve service at 10:45 a.m. and a candlelight service at 7 p.m.
• Good Shepherd Lutheran will have a service of carols and candles at 11 p.m. Morning worship is at 10 a.m.
• Westminster Presbyterian Church will have a candlelight communion service at 7:30 p.m.
• Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson will follow its regular morning schedule and will have an evening service at 10:30.
• Cape Bible Chapel will have worship at 9:15 a.m. and 10:45 a.m., with special music and communion. A candlelight service begins at 6 p.m.
• First General Baptist Church will have a candlelight communion service at 5:30 p.m., and will present its cantata during the 10:45 a.m. service.
• St. John's United Church of Christ near Fruitland, Mo., will have a worship at 10 a.m. and vespers at 7 p.m. Christmas Eve.
• Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church will have a candlelight service at 5:30 p.m. with a sacred harp concert.
• First Presbyterian Church in Jackson will have a cantata presentation at 10 a.m. Sunday and a candlelight service at both 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. The later service also includes communion.
• Calvary Temple in Cape Girardeau will have Sunday service at 10 a.m., with special music by Kelli Niswonger and an emphasis on children and youth during a Christmas celebration.
• Christ Episcopal Church will have a Christmas festival of lessons and carols at a 10:15 a.m. service Christmas Eve. At 8:30 p.m., carols will be sung prior to a 9 p.m. service with Holy Eucharist. The Rev. Patricia Williams will be the celebrant.
• St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas, Mo., will have a 10 a.m. worship service and a 6:30 p.m. candlelight service.
• Zion United Methodist Church in Old Appleton, Mo., will have a 9 a.m. worship service with communion. A service at 6 p.m. will include lighting Advent candles and special music.
• Grace United Methodist Church will have Christmas Eve services at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. A candlelight service will be at 6 p.m.
• Red Star Baptist Church will have Christmas Eve at 10:40 a.m. Sunday.
• Shawnee Hills Baptist Church in Jackson will present a cantata at 10 a.m. and a children's and youth cantata at 11 a.m. A candlelight service will be at 5 p.m.
• Immaculate Conception Church in Jackson will celebrate Christmas Eve Mass at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m.
• St. Mark Lutheran Church ELCA in Cape Girardeau will have a cantata at 10 a.m. Sunday and a candlelight service at 7 p.m.
• Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville, Mo., will have worship and communion at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
• Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau will have candlelight services at 6 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
• Zion Lutheran Church in Gordonville, Mo., will have a Christmas Eve worship at 7 p.m.
• Christian Faith Fellowship will have worship at 10 a.m. and candlelight services at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m.
