The Jacksonian Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) is now taking applications for scholarship for the fall semester, 2000. To qualify for the scholarship, candidates must adhere to the criteria set forth by the ABWA. That includes being a resident of Cape Girardeau County, including a biographical statement of one's self, filling out the form entirely, and including a copy of current transcript, as well as maintaining a 2.5/4.0 GPA...

The Jacksonian Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association (ABWA) is now taking applications for scholarship for the fall semester, 2000.

To qualify for the scholarship, candidates must adhere to the criteria set forth by the ABWA. That includes being a resident of Cape Girardeau County, including a biographical statement of one's self, filling out the form entirely, and including a copy of current transcript, as well as maintaining a 2.5/4.0 GPA.

The deadline for applications is March 31. Applicants will be selected by the full membership of ABWA.

The amount awarded can be a much as $500 or as little as $100. All applicants will receive correspondence from the committee, whether selected or not.

Anyone wishing to apply may pick up an application at Precious Memories Bridal & Fashion Boutique, 128 S. High Street in Jackson, or by contacting their local guidance counselor, local financial aid department (university level) or by contacting Terri Tomlin, ABWA vice president, at (573) 243-3214.
