JACKSON SOCCER REGISTRATION BEGINS

Jackson Area Optimist Soccer Association will hold its fall walk-in registration July 29 and Aug. 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Another will be held Aug. 2, 6-8 p.m.

Forms have also been sent in the mail to those who participated in the spring, 2000 season. Newspaper forms may also be mailed in. JAOSA has age divisions from kindergarten (child must be 5 on or before Aug. 1, 2000) through eighth grade. Kindergarten division is co-ed, with first through eighth grade divided into boys or girls. Each child will be required to wear shin guards to all practices and games and will be given a T-shirt that is theirs to keep.

Registration will be $30 per child. No team requests will be honored with the exception of siblings. Any businesses or individuals interested in sponsoring a team for the fall, 2000 and/or spring, 2001 seasons should call Cynde Sharrock at (573) 266-3332. The fall season will begin on the weekend of Sept. 9 and last six to eight weeks, weather permitting. Any questions regarding registration should be addressed to Lindy Schloss at 243-8026.
