Crowell is one of three Republicans in the race to succeed retiring state Rep. Mary Kasten for the 158th House seat. The winner of the Aug. 8 primary will face Democrat Tom Neumeyer in the November election.
Kinder said Crowell has "the honesty, integrity and good ideas that we need more of in Jefferson City."
