The Cape Girardeau Central High School Marching Tigers have participated in three competitions this season.

In the latest competition last weekend, the band placed first in the Class B division at the 32nd Annual Washington Marching Band Festival in Washington, Mo. The Cape Central Auxiliary received the Outstanding Auxiliary trophy.

Previously, the Marching Tigers finished third in the Class AA division at the Drums at Appletime band contest in Murphysboro, Ill., and in fourth at Lafayette High School's Contest of Champions.

On Oct. 21, the Marching Tigers will go to Park Hills, Mo., followed by the Greater St. Louis Area Marching competition on Oct. 28. They also will perform a halftime show at the Central High School Homecoming football game Saturday at Houck Stadium.
