BELL CITY, Mo. -- Jerry Dale Matheney, 72, of Bell City, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 22, 1948, in Stoddard County, Missouri, the son of Vernal "Goog" and Mary Francis "Susie" Vickers Matheney.
Jerry was an avid movie watcher and St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed walking to town to the cafe, bank and post office. Jerry was always talkative and friendly.

Survivors include sisters, Nancy Clary, Kay Daniels and Judy Green, all of Bell City; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private family service will be held at Morgan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Michael Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance, Missouri.
