Daughter to Patrick and Amy Higgins of Cape Girardeau, St. Luke's Hospital, 4:19 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999. Name, Taylor Elizabeth. Weight, 7 pounds 15 ounces. First child. Mrs. Higgins is the daughter of Larry and Jean Smith of Bonne Terre. Higgins is the son of Tom and Mary Higgins of Cape Girardeau.

Shoemaker

Twin son and daughter to Steve Theodore and Cindy Lynn Shoemaker of Oran, Southeast Missouri Hospital, Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999. Alexander James "Alex" was born at 6:17 p.m. and weighed 4 pounds 7 ounces. Allison Danielle "Alli" was born at 6:27 p.m. and weighed 4 pounds 15 ounces. The couple also has three other sons and a daughter. Mrs. Shoemaker is the former Cindy Frederick, daughter of Linda Simpson of Jackson and Tom Frederick of Dexter. She is a billing clerk at Southeast Hospital. Shoemaker is the son of James and Verb Shoemaker of Perkins. He is a sergeant with Scott County Sheriff's Department.

Cheeseman

Daughter to William W. and Judith Ann Cheeseman of Jackson, Southeast Missouri Hospital, 3:41 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999. Name, Alise Danielle. Weight, 7 pounds 8 ounces. First child. Mrs. Cheeseman is the former Judith Hostetter, daughter of Larry and JoAnn Hostetter of St. Louis. Mr. and Mrs. Cheeseman are employed at Procter & Gamble. He is the son of Jamie and Gary Shaffer of Gettysburg, Pa., and Will and Kriss Cheeseman of Annada.

Cook

Daughter to Billy Joe and Rosemary Cook of Chaffee, Southeast Missouri Hospital, 11:12 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 1999. Name, Abigail Rose Stella. Weight, 6 pounds 12 ounces. Fourth child, first daughter. Mrs. Cook is the former Rosemary Coleman, daughter of Gerald and Betty Coleman of Scott City. She is a day care provider. Cook is the son of Roy Cook and Stella Cook of Whitewater. He is manager at Kasten Masonry Block Plant in Cape Girardeau.

Simms

Daughter to Daniel Jay and Theresa Marie Simms Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Southeast Missouri Hospital, 12:50 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27, 1999. Name, Megan Nicole. Weight, 6 pounds 11 ounces. First child. Mrs. Simms is the former Theresa Veltri, daughter of Denver and Marie Payne of Advance, and the late Michael Veltri of St. Louis. She is employed at Thorngate Ltd. Simms is the son of Daniel Simms Sr. of Commerce and Laura Simms and Rocky Jones of Cape Girardeau. He is employed by Anchor Construction Group Inc.
