ANNIVERSARY: WALTHERS TOGETHER 55 YEARS

JACKSON, Mo. -- Mr. and Mrs. Albert Walther of Jackson celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary with a dinner and open house March 4, 2001, at St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

The event was hosted by their sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Carol Walther, Roy Walther, Ralph and Mary Walther, and Ronald and Pam Walther, all of Jackson.

Guests attended from Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Oak Ridge, Perryville, Sedgewickville, New Wells, Poplar Bluff, St. Louis, and the states of Illinois and Tennessee.

Walther and Aleen Willa were married Feb. 24, 1946, at St. John United Church of Christ west of Fruitland, Mo. Their parents are the late Ernst and Anna Walther and the late Edwin and Cora Willa.

Their attendants were Nelda Walther McMurtry and the late Ervin Voges.

The Walthers have eight grandchildren, Alisha Walther of Cape Girardeau, Travis, Ryan, Jana, Leann, Jason, Jill and Josh Walther, all of Jackson.
