Dr. and Mrs. Harold Hager of Cape Girardeau celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a visit to the Outer Banks of North Carolina; attending Trinity Lutheran Church and with a dinner at Celebrations in Cape Girardeau.

Hager and Jeanine Binger were married July 16, 1951, at St. Jacobi Lutheran Church in St. Louis by the Rev. Karl Ziegler. Their attendants were Virderie Binger Kaminska and Weldon Hager, Lucille Hager and Don Neel, Mary Goerges Weinschreider and Carl Lehne, Eleanor Wilkerson and Robert Vogelsang, and junior attendants were Joyce Keller Seabaugh and Donald Krato.

Hager is the son of the late Walter and Christine Hager. Mrs. Hager is the daughter of Clara Binger of Punta Gorda, Fla., and the late Harry C. Binger.

Hager was an instructor 38 years at Southeast Missouri State University, retiring as chairman of the mathematics department. Mrs. Hager was a teacher at Trinity Lutheran School.

The couple's daughters and sons-in-law are Wendy and Karl Kunc of Burke, Va., and Kim and Spencer Train of Houston, Texas. They have two grandchildren, Katy and Keenan Kunc of Burke.
