JACKSON -- Mr. and Mrs. Leon Morton of Jackson celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Nov. 20, 1999.

Following a trip to the Eastern states from their family, a reception was held at Holiday Inn. Music was by Vi Keys.

Morton and Mary Margaret Ward were married Nov. 20, 1949, at Fairview Methodist Church near Fruitland, by the late Rev. M.O. Eisenhauer. Their attendants were Verna Mouser Drum and Lyle Bishop.

Mrs. Morton is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Ward. Morton is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Morton.

The couple's daughters and sons-in-law are Patricia and Steve Golden of Collinsville, Ill., and Kathy and Steve Nicholas of Fruitland. They have three grandsons, Shawn Golden of Collinsville, Chad Golden of Jackson, and Casey Nicholas of Fruitland.
