Garrett DeBrock, a former basketball standout at both Delta High School and East Central College, has signed a letter of intent with McKendree College, an NAIA power located in Lebanon, Ill.

DeBrock, a former Class 1A all-stater at Delta, averaged 17.1 points per game last season for East Central, a junior college in Union, Mo.

As a sophomore at East Central, DeBrock ranked second in Region XVI in 3-point shooting (45 percent) and free-throw shooting (83 percent) and he was fourth in field-goal shooting (55 percent).

"He's a solid player and a great 3-point shooter," said McKendree coach Harry Statham.
