PERRYVILLE -- The Perryville Lady Pirates hit a season-high nine 3-pointers in an 84-22 win over Windsor Thursday night as they improved to 7-0 in Jefferson County Conference play.
On senior night, Perryville (10-9) had two seniors combine for eight of the 3-pointers. Amanda Schumer had six threes in finishing with a game-high 22 points. Angie Bohnert nailed two threes and finished with 16 points. Stacy Baer added 12.
Perryville held a 41-13 lead at halftime.
Jackson 67, Doniphan 44
DONIPHAN -- The Lady Indians outscored Doniphan 43-16 in the second half to knock off the 10th ranked team in class 3A.
"We came out and played well in the second half," said Jackson coach Ron Cook. "We hustled well. We got to another level of play and that's important."
Jackson, which trailed 29-24 at halftime, was led in scoring by Andrea Koeper, who scored 16. Alisha Burns added 13 and Nicole Poythress added 10.
Jackson improved to 9-8 on the season.
St. Vincent 55, St. Pius 49
PERRYVILLE -- St.Vincent improved to 13-4 with a victory over St. Pius.
The Squaws, 5-2 in the Jefferson County Conference, trailed 23-22 at halftime. St. Vincent overtook St. Pius in the third quarter with a 14-9 scoring advantage for a 36-32 lead.
St. Vincent took a 36-32 lead into the final period.
St. Vincent's Jessica Lakenan poured in a game-high 22 points, while Danielle Sutterer netted 21.
St. Vincent grabbed 44 rebounds on the evening.
Jess Keim led St. Pius with 16 points.
Delta 37, Woodland 24
DELTA -- Freshman guard Rebecca Cook scored 18 points to lead the Lady Bobcats to victory over Woodland.
Delta opened up strong and outscored the Lady Cardinals 18-9 through the first half, and took a 25-16 lead into the final quarter.
Delta went 7-11 from the line, while Woodland converted only six of 19 attempts.
Lilo Whitener led Woodland in scoring, notching 10 points.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Zalma Tournament
ZALMA -- Leopold improved to 2-0 in the round-robin Zalma Tournament with a 67-49 victory over Meadow Heights.
Daniel Schaab deposited a game-high 22 points for Leopold, which needs a victory tonight over Zalma (1-1) to clinch the tournament title. The two teams will met at 8:30. Meadow Heights (0-2) will face Marquand (1-1) at 5:30.
Josh Vandeven added 14 points for Leopold while Adam Horrell had 14.
Josh Mayfield paced Meadow Heights with 14 points while Tory Hayes had 13.
