MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- The Southeast MIssouri State University women's indoor track team used good team balance to win the Ohio Valley Conference indoor track championship.

Southeast scored 103 points to claim the title, with Eastern Kentucky second with 92 and Middle Tennessee third with 86.

The Otahkians had two individual winners and won the mile relay. Lutricia Purham won the shot put with a throw of 48-feet 8 3/4-inches, Heather Keltner won her third straight 400-meter title in a time of 55.65 and the mile relay team of Keltner, Tammy Wenkel, Kim Stewart and Hannah Stuckenschneider won in a time of 3:49.70.

Recording second-place finishes for Southeast were Natalie Talley in the 55-meters, Keltner in the 200 and Amy Arteme in the 5,000.

The Southeast men's team placed third in the OVC championships. Middle Tennessee won the men's title with 146 points, with Eastern Illinois second with 145.5 and Southeast third with 68.5.

Freshman Adrian Barnhill claimed the only Southeast individual title, winning the high jump with a personal best jump of 6-feet 11 3/4-inches. Claiming second places for the Indians were Tyson Brown in the 800, Chris Donze in the long jump and Brandon Myer in the shot put.
