Week Report: Dougherty scored 16 points on 7-of-7 shooting and pulled down 11 rebounds in Cape Central's biggest win of the year a 48-42 victory over Poplar Bluff, the fourth-ranked team in Class 4A. Earlier in the week, Dougherty scored 12 points in a victory over district foe Farmington.

Season Report: Dougherty is averaging 12 points, eight rebounds, three steals and two assists per game. She is shooting 70 percent from the foul line.

Coach's comments: "Within this last year, her versatility has blossomed," Smith said. "She worked hard over the summer on her shooting and outside game, but she hasn't lost her inside game. She's gotten better at running the floor. And that could come just from her confidence level. Her height and versatility is a problem that she poses. She can post up people if you put a smaller person on her and she can take it to the hole if you put a big girl on her. She's got a good first step and can hit the 15-footer."
