AREA BRIEFS: 7TH ANNUAL SPRING CLASSIC SET FOR APRIL 8

The Cape Road Runners will sponsor its 7th annual Spring Classic April 8 at 8 a.m. The event will feature a 5K run, a 5K fitness walk and a 1K run for youths 12 and under.

Medals will be awarded in each race for the top three finisher in each age group.

Entry fee for the 5K is $9 before April 5 and $12 on race day. The first 100 participants to register will receive a T-shirt. Youths 12 and under must register by April 1 to receive a T-shirt ($8 entry fee). Youth registration on race day is $3 but does not include a T-shirt.

Entry forms are available at Mid America Rehab, Howard's, SEMO Student Rec Center, SEMO Specialties and Spots, Main Street Fitness and HealthSouth.

Proceeds will benefit local law enforcement.
