Several area players have also been selected to participate as well in the game which will take place on July 22.

Players from Southeast Missouri who will play include Spencer Hobeck of Jackson, Andy Obermann of Chaffee, Wade Powers of Scott City, Justin Robinson of Sikeston, Mike Becker of Dexter, Antawn McKinney of Kennett, Ricky Smith of New Madrid County Central and Josh Clark and Ryan Whelan of Poplar Bluff.

Williams is coaching the Lions Game for the third time in his career, while Gibbs will be making his second trip.
