BRIEFLY: CAPE CENTRAL CROSS COUNTRY INVITATIONAL

The annual Cape Girardeau Central High School cross country invitational meet, featuring 12 teams, will be held Saturday at Cape County Park North.

There will be six runs, beginning with jr. high boys and girls competition at 10 a.m. A freshman boys and girls race will follow at 10:30, with girls junior varsity and boys junior varsity races set for 11 and 11:30, respectively.

Varsity competition will begin at noon with the girls race, followed by the boys race at 12:30.

In addition to Cape Central, other schools participating will be Notre Dame, Jackson, Kelly, Advance, Oak Ridge, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, Farmington, Northwest, Fox and Carbondale, Ill.
