Southeast Missouri State University and Tennessee-Martin exchanged a pair of shutouts Tuesday during an Ohio Valley Conference doubleheader played at the Southeast Softball Complex.

UTM (12-13 overall, 7-6 OVC) won the opener 3-0 while Southeast (13-18, 5-4) captured the nightcap 4-0.

The Skyhawks' Tracy Fryer pitched a two-hitter in the first game to beat hard-luck loser Jenny Doehring (1-5), who allowed six hits and one earned run.

April Leatherwood had a home run to pace UTM in the opener.

Southeast's Renee Mueller (8-9) tossed a two-hitter of her own in the nightcap, with seven strikeouts and no walks.

The Otahkians backed Mueller with 10 hits, including two doubles apiece by Doehring and Emmy Kisaka. Brooke Nett also had two hits.
