BRIEFLY: HILZ NAMED OVC PITCHER OF THE WEEK

Southeast Missouri State University junior Jeffrey Hilz has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Hilz made appearances in all four Southeast games last week, going 2-0 and not allowing an earned run in 7 2/3 innings of work. He struck out 11 and allowed six hits.

For the season, Hilz is 8-2 with a league-leading 1.79 earned-run average.
