Southeast Missouri State University golfer Bryan Johnson placed ninth during the Illinois State D.A. Weibring Invitational played Monday and Tuesday in Bloomington, Ill.

Johnson, who had finished seventh during Southeast's opening fall tournament -- the Drury Invitational that the Indians hosted -- had a 54-hold total of 4-over-par 220 during the Illinois State meet.

As a team, the Indians placed 14th out of 17 squads with a 932 total. Champion Illinois State had 863.

Other finishers for the Indians were Rob Dillinger (66th, 237), Dan Johnson (76th, 241), Dan Groesbeck (76th, 241) and John Litzelfelner (86th, 249).

Southeast returns to action Monday at the Kansas Invitational in Lawrence, Kan.
